I'm down, but I aint out...

Man! I have been sick as hell since Sat night. I still have a very bad cough, but I feel great. A huge thank you goes out to all the kind people who left well wishes. I hope I can stay healthy for awhile this time.

I was up at 5:00 am to make a PT run at 6:00am. I ran 2.5 miles and didn't cough too bad. However, I wasn't able to stay in formation. Even though I "fell out" and lagged, I didn't stop running. The lieutenant knew I'd been on "quarters"(sent home from work) this week so he didn't bust my chops for falling out. I should be back up to speed within a few weeks.

So...MOM please pass on my congrats to your cadet on his promotion. Very cool indeed!

Speaking of career progression, tomorrow is the retirement ceremony for my current shop chief. He is a master sergeant with 24 yrs of service. It should be an interesting event. He does not get along with any of our higher ups or our commander due to their lack of appreciation for what we (HVAC) do for the base. Rumor has it that he will unload his feelings. I don't blame our commander and the higher ups. They are a product of the "new" Air Force. A place where everyone is out for themselves and political correctness rules. I hate it with a passion and cant wait to retire. The USAF has been very good to me, but it has changed so drastically in the last 10 yrs, that I have come to hate it.

On a much better subject...I'd like to send a shout out to a very cool drummer (and a hell of a nice guy) from Atlanta Georgia who I just got back in touch with after a couple of years.....HELLO SCOZZ!!! Scozzy provides the thunderous drums for a kick ass rock band named The Backseat Superstars.
I've added the band's website to my links. Give their site a "click" and if you're ever in the Hotlanta GA. area and get a chance to check them out, please do. Tell Scozzy that Paul from TX sent ya.

And last but not least...I want to say Happy Birthday to my youngest son Justin. He turned 5 yrs old today. He is my world...I love you very much buddy.

I'm glad you are better. Now if my husband would quit coughing...

Your son is too cute! What did he get for his birthday?

Hi Wendy,
Young Justin got a new bicycle and a really cool spiderman costume. He also got like 40 bucks from family members.
Peace
