How did you spend your Saturday?

I got to the music store at 9:15 this morning and the boss man was nowhere to be found. The boss is usually there when I roll in. I got into the store and turned the lights on and kinda picked up the place. So I decided to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the quietness of the empty store. However at 9:40 he still wasn't in. We open our doors at 10:00 so I started to get a bit nervous at 9:45.

The boss got in about 9:45 and appreciated me getting the coffee made. We made some small talk and he went to get the cash drawers ready. I made one more pass through the quiet store admiring the arranging and re-stocking we've done since inventory. I gotta say...our store looks great.

All of us have worked to take care of the store as a whole. Usually we have a tendency to take care of our own dept first (mine is the drum dept) but lately we have really worked in the guitar room and the front main area where customers enter.

We got our inventory done a month ago and now the warehouse has filled our stock back to good levels. For awhile it looked really thin in the store. We got the fluorescent lights working in the display cases and the cases filled with all types of gadgets. I love all the different colors of the pedals and stuff. We got a large shipment of PA equipment and speakers too. And drums... We've got more drum sets than you can shake a stick at.

So today was a good day. I had one sale that was about $1600. Recording equipment and speakers... So that was my Saturday. How was yours?

Mine was pretty good... Saturday was my birthday!

I'm headed on a trip and will be out of pocket till late April, so I'll have lots of catching up to do with my blog reading when I return. Be safe and have fun in the meantime, Paul.

The store looks great. Clean and organized!

Hi y'all,
*Mom* Our store is about 4,000 sq feet of show rooms and private studio's. We have 5 stores between TX and NM. I'd say we lead the pack in Wichita Falls music stores.

*Jen* It's good to hear from you. I hope you are doing well.

*PNut* Have a fun and safe trip. Holler at me when ya get back.

Thanks cyber-friends for checking in...

Isn't it nice when everything is perfect and you step back and just take in the beauty of a job well done? I am that way too. It does look beautiful in your store!

I would love to hang in that store. I sometimes go to a music store sort of by me and just play acoustic guitars of hours. I really love Taylors
