Name that Celeb drummer...and other stuff

Lets get right to this weeks installment of NTCD. This guy has played with many bands and celebrity singers. He is the main drummer for an 80 hair metal band that had a hit with an old song called "Cum on feel the noise".

He is a great drummer who isn't flashy, but is rock solid. He is very well spoken and is a collector of vintage Ludwig drums. After this installment is over, I'll post a link to his web site so you can read about him. So...Name That Celebrity Drummer...

Speaking of this guy, I hope to meet him in July at The NAMM trade show in Austin TX. Thats right ladies and gentlemen, tentatively speaking, it looks like yours truly could be one of the lucky ones from the store that will be attending the event over the weekend. For those that don't know, NAMM is the music industry's bi-annual event where all the new stuff is on display for buyers/owners to see. It is a huge ordeal because every company big-wig is there for owners to network with and million dollar deals are struck in a single handshake.

Here's the cool part for me. Celebrity musicians are always in attendance promoting the companies that they endorse. You might see Alex VanHalen in the Ludwig booth chatting it up with attendees and the next booth over you might see Jimmy Vaughn in the Fender booth signing autographs and promoting his signature guitar.

My favorite drummer (Eric Singer)is a well known feature at the Pearl Drums Booth, so I'm hoping to meet him. This Celeb drummer is usually there as well, and I'd consider it a great honor to meet him as well. The show is in July, so I still have a ways to go. My manager said that I'm on his list, so as long as the owners allow him to take 2 people with him, I'm in there....
