Ahh...Civilian life

I've been on leave all week and working at the music store. My sales are well for the month and I'm really liking the "civilian life". I cannot wait to retire. I closed the store tonight for the manager and balanced the books. I now have a key to the store so I'll be helping Bob (store mgr) out more often.

Bob broke the news to me this week that he's been diagnosed with throat cancer. That really sucks. Bob is like my mentor. He's a very cool older man. I've talked about him before on here. Back in the 60's and 70's he provided voice overs for one of the characters on the "Banana Splits" comedy show. He also played Bass guitar on the LeAnn Rhymes album that has the song Blue on it. He's a very cool guy that has stories from the road. He's an all around nice guy who is very down to earth...

So we are going to Bartlett TN next week to start our vacation. From there, we are going home to the MS gulf coast. It will be my wifes first time returning home since the hurricane. So that's that.
