Has anyone seen my crying towel?

The video is of Monte Montgomery who is the most amazing guitar player to hit the scene since Edward Van Halen. The song he's doing is an old Hall and Oats song that is one of my favorites from a different time in my life. Back before I was married and my drinking was out of control, on mornings "after", I would wake up and begin to try to clear my head. I would put on a Hall and Oats tape and as I sat in my apartment alone, this song would come on and I'd get lost in the lyrics. I wondered if I'd ever find my "Sara" or if alcohol was my Sara.

This past week has been a bad week for me. I've been sick, busy at work and a friend of mine passed away from lung cancer. Overall, I just feel like shit. I'm pounding on weight because I haven't been to the gym in a month. On an up note, I started going back to AA meetings. That has given me a little gratitude for the things I have.

Anyway, I'm done whining. Peace out...

Paul,
I am sorry about your friend. I am glad your back at AA. I have never personally been addicted to anything (well nothing stronger than Dr Pepper) so I dont understand addiction, but I do know that AA is helpful to everyone that takes it seriously! Im glad you recognized that you needed to go back.
I loved Hall and Oats too, but for myself I had a couple of degrees of depression, I had Patsy Cline depression, which was mostly just blue, and I had Don Henley depression and that was pretty serious!! I have had a rough week too. Now that Crash has passed his test, he is taking the ASVAB on Saturday...ugg thats 2 in the next couple months....Im gonna be in a bad way I think....uggggg
