Fall is awesome!!!

Even cold and rainy Sunday's kick ass. This is the view of the world looking out of my front door. Fall is here and that is very good for me. Fall has always been a special time for me. I don't quite know why, but I feel revitalized and kind of young at heart this time of the year.

Today I hit a morning meeting. It was a great one. Sunday morning meetings are always good because you get to see alcoholics and addicts who just rolled out of the sack(including me) and they show up wearing whatever they grabbed off the floor. The ones who show need this stuff because they've drug their butts in early. Their hair is usually not combed and they haven't had time to think of any bullshit to say (again, myself included) so you usually get honest stuff and it makes for a great meeting.

So I came home and started the first fire of the year in the fire place to knock the chill out of the house. Wifey went to pick up the two youngest rug rats who spent the night with friends. It was the first time the baby stayed away from home. We were both surprised we didn't get a call about 10 last night from the lady saying he was crying. I'm sure he just followed his big brothers lead. So anyway the oldest RR had a baby sitting gig, so that left me and wifey all alone.....nothing happened. We just sat here and watched TV and reveled in the quietness of the house. We could have done some really neat porn quality sex stuff all over the house, but nope we just hung out, and watched the ball game and surfed the net looking for drum stuff...it was great.

So now wifey is picking them up and running to walmart to get a few things so I can try out a new pot roast recipe. That leaves me here with my fire going and some kick ass music on the Bose surround system. I've got some Eric Clapton going on. That dude rocks, and his drummer Steve Gadd is a monster on the tubs. Clapton even has Billy Preston playing the organ on this DVD. An all around butt kicking show.

So I hope all of you have a great Sunday. See ya in a few...

Your post reminds me that I need to have my chimney cleaned before I start the woodburner.

Hey Paul,

Nice to sit around and do nothing sometimes. Nice fireplace. Keep on kickin' those drums. Peace.

great post. I love Fall too. My favorite season, probably because it comes after 104 degree days and Christmas is around the corner.

What a nice Sunday. :) Oh, I like the truck...red is my fave.
