The 411

Hey everyone! Right off the bat I want to let Mom that's Nuts know that she has been in my thoughts. It's hard to lose a close family member. I hope she can get through this and have some closure.

I may have some significant changes going on with me too. I was contacted at work last week and asked if I would be interested in changing jobs. My unit is in search of a Unit Deployment Manager and the powers that be are interested in me to do it. I'm not at liberty to say too much about the job other than the UDM is the focal point for anything to do with deploying members. If selected, it will be my responsibility to make sure troops get from here to anywhere they are needed in the world.

The powers that be told me that they chose me because of my "anal-retentive" personality. It's very difficult to make sure everyone takes care of all the small details. A missed detail can prevent a person from being able to deploy.

So I did an interview and both me and the powers that be are in favor of the deal. Now the unit commander has to bless the thing and it'll be a done deal. Stay tuned....

I just added a new link over in my links section. It's for a local metal band that a friend of mine plays guitar in. Standing Hollow is being resurrected and I like the new stuff. I had the opportunity to crash one of their reherals recently and I gotta say...damn it was LOUD. I like the new drummer and the energy he brings to the mix. So if ya get a chance, visit their site. If you ever get to this area and get the chance to see them...do it.

Yeah, good luck getting the new job! I've been called "anal" too, but perhaps not in the same way they mean it for you. It sure doesn't sound like a compliment when aimed at me.

Once again, good luck!
